S.H.I.E.L.D. Versus Hydra, an Avengers/CA2 Ficlet

Clint Barton had heard about what had happened to S.H.I.E.L.D., and he had to wonder why so many true S.H.I.E.L.D. agents didn’t realize or pick up on the fact that were so many Hydra agents hiding in plain sight among the agency.

Barton really should talk or think like that either because he should have realized something wasn’t right. That something was amiss.

Barton knew he had to find Romanoff. He knew she would be worried about him considering every agent’s, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, identities had been blown. He knew, however, for Natasha to do that it had to be the lesser of two evils.

For now, though, he had to fly under the radar to get home until he knew what was to be done.
